ANDREW J. BLACKBIRD INTERNATIONAL
CORN SOUP AND FRY BREAD COOK-OFF
The Andrew J. Blackbird Museum and North Central’s Anishinabek Student Organization are co-sponsoring a corn soup and fry bread cook-off on September 18, starting at 6 p.m. at the Tribal Center. $100 for the best fry bread and $100 for the best corn soup! Children 10 years old and under free but don’t get a vote.
Cooks:
Must bring a hot plate or electric pot to keep soup hot.
If you want to cook your bread on site you will need to bring your own cooking station and equipment.
Cooks may stand near their product and describe ingredients and methods.
Each judge may cast one vote for soup and one vote for bread.
Last year’s winners may bring soup and bread but cannot win two years in a row.
Cooks should RSVP Larry to help us plan, but onsite registration will be allowed.
